Snakes and Ladders

Snakes and Ladders (2024) is a series of glazed ceramic sculptures made for Material Thinking at The Lightbox, Woking. The forms wind and interlock like a marble run and have elements within the structures that are reminiscent of a game of snakes and ladders. The glaze reacts in unusual ways during firing and looks like moss or mould has grown, so the surface records the firing.
