Perception
2014
Vinyl on glass
2000 x 500 cm
Commissioned for the Law Faculty, Norman Foster Designed building, Sidgwick Site, University of Cambridge as part of Art Language Location
Perception was a site specific installation about the idea of language being used to alter how we perceive architecture and public space and was made using temporary window transfers to write the word 'Perception' in visual 'braille' on the Law Faculty building. The work comments on how not understanding a language can change our experience of the built environment around us. The intention is for the viewer to attempt to 'read' the facade and to encounter the building in a different way.
